aye, despite Steven Moffat's explanations, and that matt smith liked being eleven, I feel you could no more count John Hurt out as a regeneration, than I could say I'm not going to recognise my 21'st birthday, therefore I was never 21.
Chris is Ninth Doctor, because War Doctor never call himself "Doctor". And his later incarnations didnt call him "Doctor" too. Why? Because they thought. he did something really bad, what excluded from Doctor's group. That's why John Hurt doesn't count like Doctor. But he count as incarnation. He isninth incarnacion, Christopher is tenth incarnation, David is eleventh and Matt twelve.
I read somewhere that one explanation for Cushing was the First Doctor's mind was invaded by something evil or something, and he created the happy Cushing Doctor to give the evil thing something to destroy that didn't matter while 1 figured out how to destroy it. Or something like that.
So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, THE UNMENTIONABLE ONE, 9 (who's really 10), 10 (who's really 11), 10.2 (he gets a mulligan) (is really 12), and 11 (who's really 13)? Are you going to make a Capaldi Doctor or are you going to wait for him to show up first and get an idea of his clothes?
